Input From Indiana – Spring 2016

Greetings All4Him members, friends, family and associates, my name is Delon and I’ve accepted the  challenge concerning Matthew 20:26-28.

Matthew 20:26-28 New Living Translation (NLT)

26 “But among you it will be different. Whoever wants to be a leader among you must be your servant, 27 and whoever wants to be first among you must become your slave. 28 For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve others and to give his life as a ransom for many.”

At first glance what immediately came to mind is: In the battlefield I’ve found myself in I have heard, “In order to become a great leader, you must first learn how to be a good follower”. This whole slave language used in the Bible threw me for a loop, but after reflecting on these words in its entire context, my spirit took me to a place called Love.

I sometimes find myself firmly engaged in my own wants and needs, but they never overshadow the knowledge I have of us being created by a loving God. Since I am created in His image and after His likeness I experience an overwhelming gratification when properly serving my brothers and sisters.  Our Father also blesses me with a multitude of things in return that can only be felt from within and displayed through action.  I am one of His foot souljahs.

God Bless Y’all
